The Parks - For Adults and Older Kids

Hollywood Studios

The American Idol Experience (Echo Lake)
Awesome experience, not to be missed! As close as it gets to the real thing, with Disney guests as contestants and 3 judges bearing an eerie resemblance to Simon, Paula and Randy on TV. Fans of the TV show will absolutely love it. It preserves all of the excitement of the real thing. Disney has built an amazing set that is the exact replica of the theater used on TV. Lots of fun!

Toy Story Midway Mania (Pixar Place)
Adults and older kids will love this amusement-park-like ride, although littler ones may find the noises and effects somewhat scary. You board a vehicle that takes you through a number of midway-style games, where you can "shoot" targets to rack up the highest score. A 4-D interactive experience starring the characters of the Toy Story movie. A word of warning: if you absolutely want to go on this ride, get to the Park very early and immediately head to this attraction to get a Fast Pass. Fast Pass tickets are generally sold out by 10 am. If you don't get one, you will face a wait of 90 -120 minutes to get on this ride.

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Sunset Boulevard)
You get into an elevator and go up and up and up.....Facing the outside in some part, the "open faced" elevator drops and goes up again. At times it feels like you will get pulled out of the seat and free fall. Of course this is not the case. Very thrilling ride, visually and physically challenging, a sure favorite for thrill seeking teenagers and adults.

Rock N Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (Sunset Boulevard)
Awesome roller coaster with the famous band's music and props. Very fast initial acceleration. Make sure you know what to expect. Listen to the safety instructions given before the ride. A great ride not to be missed!.

High School Musical 3 - Senior Year Show (Sorcerer Hat)
High School Musical fans will definitely enjoy this 20-minute outdoor show based on the movie. Although my 6-year-old daughter complained that the performers were not the "real" actors from the movie, she certainly enjoyed dancing and singing along with all of the original songs from the movie. The performers choose audience members to join the show as well. Check the Times Guide and get there early, as this is a popular show and spaces in front fill up fast.

If you have the time, this show is not to be missed. It's a spectacular lights and laser show, usually shown twice per evening. There's limited capacity in the theater, so get there at least an hour early to assure getting a seat.

Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
See professional stuntmen/women do actual demonstrations in an action-packed show. Not only thrilling, but interesting as you learn how stunts are actually done.

Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show (Streets of America)
A great auto stunt show with lots of action. Also educational, with professionals explaining how the stunts are done.
